As part of our engaging with business strategy we realise how important it is for us to connect with businesses in Mansfield and North Nottinghamshire. With planned roll out to businesses across the region, the third of these free events takes place in Mansfield on 3rd July 2014.
Young and promising entrepreneurs from local schools have been given the opportunity to create their own business from scratch! Thanks to brainchild of local businessman, Malcolm Hall.
The idea evolved from regular BLG focus group meetings hosted by Mansfield 2020 that brings together local businesses to discuss local issues. The idea was made possible by working in partnership with MLP - a partnership across local Mansfield schools.
Guided and driven by Malcolm Hall’s vision to give every young person the opportunity to aspire. The MLP organised the challenge that sees students not only create their own business from scratch, but sell their products to the general public on the Mansfield Market.
The young people are mentored during every stage of the business plan by local entrepreneurs. This year’s mentors include Alison Constantine of Atmospheric Interiors Ltd.
Their achievements will be celebrated at an awards evening, on 9th July at the Civic Centre, Mansfield. Teams will be named winners in a number of categories including Best Product, Best Team Working, Entrepreneurial Spirit and Overall Winner.
Please support them on their market day in Mansfield Town Centre where they will be selling the products and services they have worked hard to develop:
