Mansfield & Ashfield 2020 together we mean business

New Mansfield MP Joins 2020 Business Group and Sets Out His Priorities!

Award Winning Business Development and Business Community group Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 hosted monthly breakfast networking meeting for local business leaders. Due to summer recess 2020 also invited all elected members to the July Breakfast meeting and newly elected Ben Bradly MP for Mansfield accepted and attended. He spoke about his key priorities for Mansfield and his passion to put Mansfield on the Map.

He presented his 4 key priority areas to over 100 local business leaders that included:

Investment: Within the Town Centre & development of our Business parks and Enterprise Zones. Why? Fill the empty shops; create jobs and reasons to visit the town centre. Fill the business parks with employment opportunities and routes to rewarding careers.

Infrastructure: Develop the Robin Hood line to help with transport issues surrounding Sherwood Forest area such as Ollerton to help improve employment opportunities. Infrastructure development is vital to attract business and investment to the area! Ben also voiced his support with the petition for improved infrastructure around Mansfield, Nottingham Road Leisure Park. You can sign the petition here:

Education: Focusing on creating the skills for the jobs! Giving young people work ready skills and keeping them here! Listening to industry to find out what skills are needed to help businesses grow and build the bridge between businesses and education to link the skills demand and raise awareness amongst young people about the work ready skills and the opportunities available to them in this area.

Marketing: Its time positive news about the town outweighed the negative mind-set group that have not moved forward! Promote reasons to come and visit and above all – let’s get hotel in Mansfield and promote our fantastic tourism industry!

There are two groups in Mansfield – those that are positive and helping to drive forward changes and improvements in the town which very much represents the 2020 business community. And those that have hit the pause button and refuse to see the vision for the future and use our strengths to move forward.

2020 will work in partnership with Ben to help drive forward his 4 key areas. For over 25 years 2020 has been the driving forces behind positive partnerships to simply makes things happen and feel confident with Ben representing Mansfield and putting the town at the forefront of investment.

The future is positive- it’s time to get on board and be a part of the New Mansfield!
